This group will be migrated to the new design soon. Please contact the group admins to start the migration and save content the group may lose access to.
I'm hardly on dA at all anymore, so I'm looking for members interested in helping run this group as I'm not always around to approve submissions before they expire. Please comment here if you're interested. I'll check back in a week or so to see if anyone wants to help.
Happy New Year 2018!!! So what is your opinion of Aelirenn? Scoiatael & young elves are considering her a hero however I believe she was anything but...
True. Yet Aelirenn is an interesting sort since she. in way. symbolizes the Scoia'tael. She led them to nearly a foolish death. But the Scoia'tael respected her for her courage and her will to bend no knee to the human foes. Her pride represents the Aen Seidhe. They rather die in honor than become slaves I suppose you could say. I am indifferent about Aelirenn imo. Iorveth, in a way, is like her, being stubborn and courageous, but not so foolish like her to directly lead his army to their doom after harsh lessons learned.
She is a politician and she believes she did the right thing. She is also power hungry and wants to rule, However without young ones the elves will die out so I believe at the end she is stupid. She has chosen short term goals to long term ones. But should she be treated as a traitor... Not sure... But she is definitely not a scoiatael.
You have interesting point of view, but in the end elves had their own land again and thous elves that wasn't a scoia-tael, was free of humans and their hatred...
but i understand why Enid isn't counted as scoia-tael
